The Lapland Lake site was one which you really had to use to get the full effect! Unfortunately, new designers have changed it so much its no longer my design. But I was pretty proud of it (and so were the owners) way back when I designed it.

On the surface, it seemed like a pretty simple site. But to a soon-to-be traveler or skier looking for a great place to go via the web, its a veritable treasure trove of information on the resort.

The site owners provided me with a huge assortment of marketing materials to work with, as well as an album full of professional photos. I took everything provided, and worked on a site architecture from the perspective of a potential visitor to Lapland Lake. As you navigated the site, you could easily find:

• Detailed information about the accommodations
• Pricing information
• Current calendars of upcoming events
• Directions and a map to the resort
• Current ski conditions in season
• Info on special events and clinics
• A detailed information request form
• and a very useful "interactive" trail map that you could zoom and out of, to get the lay of Lapland Lakes many and diverse trails!

Since the site would be continuously updated and maintained by EIS, I also put a lot of thought into creating a very scalable and flexible structure so that any new information the site owner could possibly want to add would fit right in!
