I was hired by Penchina to do a complete redesign
of a large-scale web site for Remsoft, a fire and forest management software
company. During the course of the work, it was decided that the fire family
of software should also have a logo, and I was hired to develop one.
| Sometimes what seems like a simple
solution is a long time coming. We created 10-12 thumbnail drawings
before it ever started to gel - something that is not at all uncommon
in the world of logo development. The final decision was this one
- which implements the idea of fire, forest, and weather science into
one memorable image. |

The logo was then colorized and worked into the previously determined
theme of the site.
