TURTLE'S PORTFOLIO

Capital District Preservation Task Force

[PREVIOUS]  [GALLERY GUIDE]  [NEXT]

As soon as I heard about the mission of the CDPTF, this thought came to mind: create something that looked like a historian or archaeologist's workbook, and lay objects relating to Albany's history on it's pages.

The entire collage and home page design was created by using photographs of the Karner Blue butterfly, an arrow head, and a local landmark, along with a map of old Fort Orange (now Albany). Each was masked out of its existing background or enhanced, and brought together into one design. The background tile of the page was particularly fun to develop, starting with nothing but two small texture photos of leather and a woven material.

Sadly, the site was abandoned before content was developed, and it has never gone online.
