My challenge was to repurpose a great deal of print content into the hypertext medium in such a way that it was easy to locate info, from wherever in the site a visitor was. To achieve this, I provided multiple navigational routes. The visitor has options of browsing "back and forward" in appropriate sections, as well as "jumping" from place to place if they choose.

As soon as the content was evaluated, I knew I had to create a site which appealed to locals, the business community, AND out-of-towners. I had to create a consistent, cohesive design that worked for both Chamber and tourism information, and was a pleasant site to visit. This was done by creating a photocollage to express Schenectady County, carrying it throughout in a subtle way; the liberal use of photographs, but always maintaining a conservative feel.
